Helloooooo guys!!!

As you may know by now, or you might’ve guessed, I am Alifya. My full name is Alifya Mufaddal. We are a family of 3. Me: Alifya, My daughter: Hussaina and my husband: Mufaddal, who is the only sane person in our totally insane family!! 

We live in Sydney, Australia. I completed my Electronics Engineering degree in 2016 from NED University, Pakistan and immediately after that I moved to Australia. Since that time, I have been doing some freelance work here and there. Designing websites and graphics is what I love most. However, I’ve never worked in an office. Always your work from home gal!

In 2017, my daughter was born, and all of a sudden I found my whole life turned upside down. I was sleeping half the day and awake almost all night long, nursing and changing diapers. One thing, that was the direct result of being up the whole night was that I started reading blogs (mostly via pinterest). 

Overnight, pinterest (my nursing partner)  replaced almost everything else that I had been doing! I just simply loved going through my home feed, organizing things into boards and looking for more ideas that I couldn’t do (lol). That is the thing about pinterest though, I feel that it gives you hope. You hope that you will be taking that trip to Italy next summer, so you start saving to a board called Travelling!! 

Soon enough though, that Travelling board was replaced by Kids Activities and Parenting Advice and All things mommy type boards!! huhh! But I will be taking that trip to Italy, mind you! After a few years maybe, but still. Three cheers and a big round of applause for HOPE guys. Aaaaah, what are we ever gonna do without HOPE!! 

So, right from when my daughter was born and upto almost 2 years, I had been reading all kinds of Mom blogs, and man was I ever impressed by some of the things that people came up with!!

And it was around this time (June 2019, to be precise) when I decided to start my very own blog. I had no clue about blogging! I mean I knew how to design, and I knew I loved writing (God knows about all those sleepless nights writing reports, presentations, and even research papers during my university life – I used to do some freelance work and tutor kids back then, to make ends meet!!). But I really didn’t know a lot about blogging.

I dived head first, and made my fair share of mistakes! Infact, I’m still making mistakes! But mistakes mean that we are moving ahead! So, I punch myself in the face every time I make a humongous mistake and move on with life!!

However, what wasn’t a mistake was starting a blog! Infact, starting a blog was the best thing that ever happened to me! It gave me a sense of purpose even when I wasn’t making any money out of it. This is why I started another category on my blog: Blogging Journals. These contain some educational blogging advice, my personal experiences and even a lengthy post about How you can start your very own blog too!
