This “Felt Color Matching Quiet Activity for toddlers” looks like a mini twister game of sorts. It is pretty simple, easy, fun to make and play, and also strengthens the color matching skills for toddlers.
What you Need to Make this Felt Color Matching Game:
- 1 White A4 Felt sheet
- Colored Felt sheets (8 different colors)
- Glue & scissors
How to make this DIY Color Matching game for Toddlers:
- Cut 2 small circles out of each colored felt sheet.
- Also cut 1 felt strip from each sheet.
- Place them randomly on the white felt sheet, making a 4 by 4 rectangle (i.e: 4 rows and 4 columns)
- Glue the felt circles to the sheet or sew them. I glued mine first, but the glue was not a suitable one for sticking felt, and I didn’t have another glue available at that time, so I had to sew my circles (and GOD I hate SEWING!). Make sure you buy a glue that is suitable for sticking felt.
- Attach one side of the felt strip to same colored circle on the base.
- Repeat for all 8 colors.
- Attach a small piece of adhesive magnetic strip or velcro on the other side of the felt strip.
- Similarly, repeat this step for all the felt strips.
- Match the colors by making bridges.
- Your Felt Color matching game is ready.
- Take it along in your Busy bag or use as a Quiet book Activity page for unlimited hours of fun!
