Dice is a fascinating piece of work, if ever we stop to admire it. It was quite possibly used for magic, and or predicting the future in 2000 b.c. And it has been named the oldest gaming instrument of all times (encyclopedia.com)

Hence, it is not surprising that it is used in a gazillion games in a gazillion ways. 

In this post, however, we have chosen only the simplest of the simplest dice games for toddlers, so they can be easily understood by 2 to 4 year olds, and are awesome and fun!

Let us begin our list!

10 Easy Dice games for toddlers:

  1. Build a lake dice game (This dice game needs some toy animals, and a play mat. Kids get to roll the dice and grow their lake/jungle).
  2. Roll and Color (This a simple and catchy printable dice game specifically for toddlers. Kids roll the dice and color the matching dice face on the paper).
  3. Race to fill a cup (Uses 2 disposable cups and LEGOs to see who can roll and fill their cups with LEGOs first)
  4. Roll a Christmas tree (Uses M&Ms, and printable Christmas tree so kids can roll and decorate the cute little tree with colorful M&Ms)
  5. Cupcake dice game (Uses some cute decorating buttons and adornments, and a printable cupcake template. Kids can roll and decorate the cupcake. Very cute!)
  6. Rubber Duck Math Race (Uses Magnetic tiles and rubber ducks for an engaging math race)
  7. Giraffe Game (Toddlers would find it absolutely adorable. This game uses LEGOs and little printable giraffes. Kids can roll the dice to see how long a giraffe’s neck can grow without the giraffe falling off!)
  8. Dice Exercise Game (This one will get your toddler up on their feet! Each number is associated with a fun exercise like frog jumps or touch your toes. So every time you roll the dice, you refer to the card to see which exercise you are supposed to do.)
  9. Roll a monster (Prompts to roll and keep adding parts of body like eyes and hair on your monster)
  10. Roll and Cover the Lady Bug (A printable game where you roll and cover all the spots on the lady bug)
