DIY: Customized Fridge Magnet

Hello guys, I have a new DIY for you this time.

A note about myself: I love making customized gifts for people. I really love to see how happy people are when they see something I have made for them myself. Because when you make something for someone, it means that you care enough to give them the gift of your “time”.

I love making cards, and small paintings, so this time I came up with the idea of making a customized fridge magnet for a friend of mine who had just given birth to a cute little baby boy.

Now, this idea and this method is merely a suggestion and something to inspire you to create something yourself. Fridge magnets are easy to make and customize. You can make them in any shape you like, any colour, any size. You can make one with a picture, or without it. It is totally up to you!

You can even take a small souvenir, glue a magnet to the back and whoohooo, we got ourselves a new fridge magnet!

Oh, you can even paint a stone and turn it into a mag……..

I am sorry, am I rambling on?? I just get excited when I am talking about creative things and doing art work!!

Okay, I guess it’s enough! I need to shut up, and get on with how I made this magnet.

What You Need:

1. A picture printed inside an apple shape or you could cut a normal picture in the shape of an apple.
2. Red card sheet.
3. Green and brown felt sheets.
4. Scissors.
5. Glue gun.
6. Black pointer/marker.

Method:

1. Print and cut out your apple shaped picture.

2. Glue it to the red card sheet.

3. Cut the red chart such that a red border is visible outside the apple shaped picture. Cut green felt in the shape of a leaf and a small brown piece of felt serves as a stem. Glue them over the original leaf and stem.

4. Using a black marker/pointer, make borders of the apple, and lines inside the leaf.

5. Leave it as is or write “apple of my eye” at the bottom.

6. Attach a craft magnet to the back, and you are good to go!

I would love to see what you guys came up with. Do let me know in the comments section below.
