Teaching primary colors to preschoolers (using Coloring books)

Could you ever imagine that teaching primary colors to preschoolers would be fun??

No?

Well I’m here to prove you wrong.

I have designed some cute little mini coloring books to teach primary colors to our little learners. My daughter absolutely loved these.

Each mini coloring book is dedicated to a single color, so there are a total of 3 coloring books:

  1. My Red Book of all things Red
  2. My Yellow Book of all things Yellow
  3. My Blue Book of all things Blue

How to teach Primary Colors to preschoolers using these books:

As you can see from the videos, these are coloring books and you can use them with all different mediums like:

  • Color Pencils
  • Markers
  • Crayons
  • Paints
  • Do-a-dot markers
  • Stamps
  • Make colored paper collages
The last 2 pages of the book ask the kids to paste a piece of paper or cloth in the book and to find an object that is of that color. Thus kids can explore the primary colors in all the different ways possible.

Never underestimate the power of play based learning, because it is indeed the most powerful form of learning. When kids learn through play, they are not likely to forget easily. The concepts are ingrained into their little perfect brains without effort.
